What is the International Cycling Congress?
It is an annual platform that gathers hundreds of experts from all over the world to discuss application of advanced technologies in building bicycle infrastructure, economic aspects of urban environment, opportunities for cycling in cold climate cities, development of the regional tourism potential through cycling infrastructure and other themes.

The extensive program will also include a variety of additional activities, such as workshops, bike tours and film screenings. Exhibition of bicycle producers and organizations will take place during the congress.

The International Cycling Congress was initiated by the Russian cycling advocacy project Let's bike it! in 2016 and took place in Moscow for the first three years. During this time it has become one of the largest cycling congresses in the world and a popular platform for exchanging experience on promoting cycling and building a convenient and safe cycling infrastructure in the Russian cities.
Is participation in the Cycling Congress of interest for me?
Participation in the congress will be of interest to both those engaged directly with cycling and those who engage with it through other realms. In 2019 more than 700 participants from 27 countries took part in the cycling congress. Among them were policymakers of federal, provincial and local levels, representatives of city administrations, leaders of NGOs, employees of design, planning, engineering and transport organizations, professional and technicians responsible for planning, implementation and maintenance of cycling infrastructure, business community.
What is the entrance fee to the Cycling Congress?
Participation in the event is free of charge and everyone interested is welcome! Registration is required. Registration will open in the end of March 2022.
What about visa to Russia?
Please, don´t forget to check in advance if you need a visa to enter Russia. You can do this on the official website of the Russian Embassy in your country. If you do need a visa, we recommend you to choose the TOURIST visa type. This will make the whole process much easier and save your time.

Please, be aware that unfortunately the organizers do not provide an official invitation valid for the embassy. You will need a vaucher from the hotel in Russia you are planning to stay in. In order to receive it, please, contact the hotel directly.

You can learn a more detailed information about the process of applying for Russian visa on the website of the Russian Embassy in your country. Don't be afraid! History of our previous congresses shows that the process is not that difficult as it seems!
What about flights to Russia and accommodation?
We are working on possible flight and accommodation discounts for the Cycling Congress participants and will update this information soon.
I don't speak Russian. What should I do?
Two official languages of the Congress are English and Russian with the simultaneous translation provided. Many people in the street, in hotels, restaurants are fine with answering you in English. Public transit has announcements and signs in English. Urban navigation is bilingual.
